Veck.io Review: A Fast Browser FPS That Rewards Players Who Actually Pay Attention

I’ve played enough browser shooters to know what usually happens. You open the game, grab whatever weapon is available, run toward the nearest enemy, get eliminated in about twelve seconds, and spend the next few minutes deciding whether the game is worth another chance. Veck.io gave me that exact first impression, except I ended up giving it another chance – and then another one after that.

That’s where things started getting interesting.

Veck.io is a fast-paced 3D multiplayer FPS built around quick fights, movement, weapon choice, and fairly compact matches. It has the accessibility you’d expect from an .io game, but underneath that simple approach there’s more going on than I initially expected. The game offers a sizeable arsenal, different multiplayer formats, private rooms, leaderboards, and progression features, so you can approach it as a quick browser distraction or actually spend time learning how to play well.

For a new player, the first thing I’d recommend is forgetting about trying to dominate the scoreboard immediately. Seriously. Your first few matches are better spent learning how the movement feels and figuring out which weapons suit you.
